28th XCO SAMOBOR 2021 UCI Class 1

On Sunday 20th of June 2021. a Cross-country race 28th XCO Samobor 2021 UCI Class 1 will be held. The race will be pointed for the Class 1 points in the categories: Elite Men (ME), Elite Woman (WE), Junior Men (MJ) and Junior Women (WJ).

Meeting place for all the competitors will be in the center of the town, on King Tomislav Square (in croatian language: ''Trg kralja Tomislava'' - description is attached), where the race office is located. Each competitor starts on its own responsibility. Distribution of start numbers is schedueled for Saturday, 19th of June 2021 from 17.00 h till 19.00 h, and on Sunday, 20th of June 2021 from 7.00 h untill one hour before the start for each category. Start list for the each categories concludes 1 hour before the start.

Start and finish of the competition is located on the main square of City of Samobor, where the winners ceremony will also be held. In the case of extreme conditions on the course (in the case of extreme rain or heat) organizer in conjunction with a UCI Comissaire and technical delegates will adjust the number of the rounds for all the categories.

Team managers meeting will be held on Saturday, 19th of June 2021. at 18:45 h near the race office.

Course is circular, 4100 m length and will be marked with black arrows on a white paper which shows direction of movement in accordance with technical regulations and with the tape at the places with fast changing direction. Feeding and Technical assistance zone will be marked near the start and finish, and at the middle of the course. Details of the course are visible on the map which is attached to this technical guide. Course is marked and available for inspection on Friday 18.06.2021. at 16.00 h, with a reminder that part of the course which goes through the town streets and walking areas will not be closed for traffic and walking, so please, take extreme caution!

The awards are medals for the first three competitors in all categories and the total cash prize fund of 20.300,00  HRK (2.670,00 €) in categories: Elite&U23 (M), Elite&U23 (W), Junior Men (MJ) and Junior Women (WJ). Other sponsor prizes worth approximately 1400 € will also be shared. Lunch is available for all the competitors after the race, from 13.00 h (location of lunch distribution area is marked on an event map attached).

The race is held by MTB technical regulations of CCF and the UCI's regulations. The organizers are not responsible for the acts done by the drivers to third parties. The race is ON regardless of weather conditions.

For the events during the competition, the driver can file an appeal to the main judge in writing at most 15 minutes after the end of his race with a deposit amounting to 230,00 HRK (30 €.). To appeal the results can also contribute in writing, no later than 15 minutes after the announcement of the results with a deposit in the amount of 230,00 HRK (30 €).

• The organizer will charge entry fee for every rider who is not unsubscribed on time to their team.
• For late and invalid registration entry is higher by 100%. For late and invalid registration in categories with free entry, the entry is 15€. Late entry is possible until one hour before each race.
• Start numbers pick up – one person for entire team to avoid unnecessary crowd. Thanks in advance.

All competitors, stuff and others included in the event are obliged to follow the ongoing instructions by the local government and the organizer considering the COVID-19.

ACCESS TO THE COURSE:

From Zagreb or Slovenia by the highway Zagreb-Bregana. 2 km before (from Slovenia after) the Croatia/Slovenia border is the highway exit towards Samobor. At the first crossroad (point A on the map below) after the the highway exit go to left, then straight to the first traffic light. At the first traffic light go straight to the end of the road and then turn left again. After that just go straight to the official parking lot for competitors (point B on the map below).
